Vielen Dank für ihre schnelle Antwort,
die Auskunft, dass er mit der Aufenthaltsgestattung das Land verlassen könne und nur ein Visa de retour für die Wiedereinreise brauche, hat Herr Mahela vom Landratsamt Amièns erhalten. Ich habe ihn jetzt gebeten, diese Information nochmal schriftlich von der Deutschen Botschaft bestätigen zu lassen. Seit vielen Jahren reist Herr Mahela für Theaterkooperationen nach Europa. Zuletzt ist er mit einem "Visa de circulation" eingereist. Wegen eines Krankenhausaufenthaltes seiner Frau musste er in Amièns bleiben und hält sich nun dort mit der Aufenthaltsgestattung mit Arbeitserlaubnis auf.
Was können wir tun?

Nur mit einer Aufenthaltsgestattung (!) darf keiner ausreisen. Welches Reisdokument hat er sonst ?
Erst sollte Herr Mahela über die deutsche Botschaft in Paris prüfen, ob er überhaupt ohne Visum nach Deutschalnd kommen kann !

unser Schauspielerkollege Hubert Mahela, mit dem wir f? Festival Fidena (siehe Anhang) 2010 eine Theaterproduktion planen, ist eingeladen zu einer Arbeitsbesprechung ( 29. 8 - .1. 09. 2009 - siehe Einladung) im Rahmen des Festivals FIDENA in Bochum.
Er befindet sich zur Zeit mit einer Aufenthaltsgestattung mit Arbeitserlaubnis (recepic頡vec mention vie priv饠famicale) in Frankreich. Dort wurde ihm gesagt, er k? mit diesem Titel nach Deutschland ausreisen, brauche aber ein "Visa de retour" von der Franz?chen Botschaft in Deutschland.?
Kann er das kurzfristig bekommen? Was braucht er daf?IV>
Wir w?uns sehr freuen, wenn sie uns so schnell wie m?ch eine Auskunft geben k?en.

I'm (like) totally excited since i looked up Kinshasa and Congo on the internet yesterday! and someone was over, who's been to kinshasa and all she could talk about was how amazing the avacados are. Ofcourse David immediately made me promise i would bring back seeds :)
So, girls and boys, I am putting down facts and figures from our last conversation. Havent spoken to Bani and Sarnath about this since either, so we can start the discussion here perhaps as to what we will do towards the project. Seems like Sarnaths role is very clear. :) Steffi please can you fill in all the gaps and add newer information to circulate.
1. Age Group: 12-17
2. Number of participants: ? approximately 30 ? more if we break up groups?
3. Participant Strengths/weaknesses: (no education, very basic experience with other visual means like drawing..what are their strengths? any particular crafts that can be used? Something they are particularly curious about? particular knowledge they have? )
4. I have to take with me: Fabric samples to use for costumes possibly... jamawar type: more exciting than local possibilities only. And some photos of pakistan in general would be fun to contextualize us.
5. Puppets /on stilts, politicians/ Rulers/king costumes/helmets
6. Design costumes that the brass band can use regularly, not only for this project. So this is one serious responsibility so far :)
7. Sarnath : Newspaper/ collaborative drawings and narrative building. Can we integrate these characters and stories with the costumes?
8. There are tailor women and sewing machines available.
9.Do we move around with the project? change venues because its a small space? split up the facilitation group?
10 .There will be an architect working with us. Who is he?
11. What else can we take to share with them? books of some kind?
12. we could come up with a game that involves all of our interests?

Dear Brett,
I hope you still remember me! I'm the agent of your electric toothbrush.
Things concerning our production start moving (very well!!!) and now we need to catch you and get you deeply committed!
I found contacts that might lead to realize a huge production within the Festival Ruhrtriennale. It is one of the biggest festivals (might be the biggest) for theater in Germany.
It is like the Wiener Festwoche for Germany.
Everything I will propose now to you are suggestions and of course we have to do the precise planning together.
The idea is to work with the whole brassband (15 - 20 people), and a small group of teenagers (4 - 5) from Kinshasa and a group of four or five actors which will be the basic group and also do the research.
In the basic group there will be Hubert and Lambert, there might be me and Alberto (the belgian actor we told you about) and we will send you proposals (a sort of casting list) for actors and/or puppeteers from Germany, Belgium, etc. Then you should choose and/or propose people you know.
In terms of time schedule we thought of visiting you in June in Vienna and see your performance and do a concrete planning. We would be: Lambert and me, Sabina our administrator, Annette Dabs, the director of the German Forum of Puppetry (our contact person for the Ruhrtriennale) and probably Alberto. Please let us know as soon as possible, which day would be fine for you.
In the end of August we would like to invite you to come to Bochum for the opening of the international puppet festival of Germany. For the opening there is a performance of the artists-collective AKHE from St. Petersburg which are most exciting. Then we would have a look at venues for our performance. The area of the Ruhrtriennale is the former industrial capital of Germany and there are most amazing huge industrial buildings from the beginning of the century which can be used for the festival. From there we would like to go to Bruxelles (which is not far from there) to see the congo museum of Tervuren, to visit the archive of Tervuren. Right now we are doing research on whom we could visit and how to get useful information. If wanted, there are also interesting contacts to puppeteers, dancers and actors.
The premiere of the production should be around the 15th September 2010. So you don't miss the World Cup and when you are in good voice again you come to rehearse with us in August, September.
We should think of rehearsing in Kinshasa as well.
So please let us know soon what you think and which would be the best date to meet in Vienna.

Die SEZ schickt ein Schreiben, dass sie 4. 700. 000.- € für die Blaskapelle zu Verfügung stellt. Drei Nullen müssen wir leider wegstreichen. Schade.

Huma hat Geldprobleme, weil niemand was in der Ausstellung in Lahore gekauft hat und das obwohl sie ihr Kamel an Saatchi verkauft hat. Das soll einer verstehen.
Wir überweisen den Flug jetzt direkt.
Die Blaskapelle aus Kinshasa hat uns am Telefon vorgespielt. Wunderschönder Krach und toll zu hören, dass die Proben weitergehen.
Langes Telefonat mit Hubert. Am 17. 03 ist der Prozess. Wir machen uns Sorgen wegen "Le Cadeau" in Magdeburg.
Vier Carports bestellt um uns in Kinshasa vor der Sonne zu schützen.

Tolles Treffen mit Annette in Bochum. Sie will uns nochmal in die Ruhrtriennale reinboxen. Wir versuchen die komplette Fanfare Confience ins Projekt einzubauen - das sind 20 Bläser aus Kinshasa!

Mit Sabine Stelzenlaufen geübt für Großfiguren in Kinshasa.
Ich hab mich da verschätzt und dachte das geht ganz einfach. Vielleicht bin ich zu alt, habe Angst nach hinten zu fallen und mein Kopf wie ein Ei aufzuschlagen. Sabine meint die Jugendlichen lernen das schnell und schlagen ihren Kopf nicht auf. Nächsten Montag habe ich nochmal einen Unterricht.

Winni ist wirklich sauer. Er ist das Chaos mit der Finanzierung leid. Erst hält ihn das Goethe-Institut ein dreiviertel Jahr auf Trapp und dann stellt er fest, dass bei uns auch alles im Chaos versinkt.
Mit Bani und Sarnath in Delhi lang über die Workshops in Kinshasa gesprochen. Wir machen seriöse Kostüme mit wilden Helmen für die Blaskapelle. Huma will Stoffe aus Pakistan nach Kinshasa mitbringen. Dann Groß- und Stelzenfiguren mit Masken und eine Siebdruckgruppe, die Plakate und eine Art Zeitung machen soll.
Prof. Klaus-Peter Goebel - der Dekan für Innenarchitektur an der Hochschule für Technik Stuttgart - hat gebucht und kommt mit nach Kinshasa. Weil die Hochschule Angst hat, Studenten nach Kinshasa zu schicken, will er sich selbst ein Bild von der Situation machen.

Ja, bitte buch beide Flüge nochmal rein.
Es ist so: Ich werde auf jeden Fall fliegen, bei Birgit Pardun hängt es von der Zusage des Goethe-Instituts ab. Goethe hat es fertig gebracht, trotz vielfacher Korrespondenz und mündlicher Zusage seit August letzten Jahres die Sache nicht endgültig zu bearbeiten. Der eigentlich vorgesehene Kollege für das Projekt ist dann letzte Woche abgesprungen, weil er sich den Zeitraum nicht mehr freihalten konnte, Birgit Pardun ist kurzfristig eingesprungen, deshalb auch das Termingeschiebe... In den nächsten Tagen soll es nun bei Goethe über den Tisch gehen.
Geht das, Birgit's Flug solange auf zu halten?
